Every pigeon in VPR belongs to a bloodline and a breed type. Together, these two fields help describe a pigeon’s inherited background and breeding potential. They are part of a pigeon’s fixed identity and are most useful when thinking about long-term strategy, especially breeding.

What bloodlines are

The four bloodlines
VPR currently has four bloodlines:

What breed types are
Breed type shows the pedigree quality within a bloodline. In other words, two pigeons can belong to the same bloodline, but still have different breed types.
In VPR, breed type is relevant for breeding and long-term planning. Higher breed types suggest stronger genetic consistency. Breed type is also often shown as a star-style quality indicator.
