Each pigeon in VPR has its own data profile. On the Loft page, you will see a mix of fixed identity traits, core abilities, progression, and race performance data. Some values are part of the pigeon’s identity from the start, while others change over time as the pigeon races and gains experience.

The main types of pigeon data
Identity traits
These fields describe what kind of pigeon you have.

Rarity | How uncommon the pigeon is. |
CAT | The race category the pigeon can enter. |
Rings | Classification or progression markers linked to the pigeon. |
Generation | How far the pigeon is from the original supply. Gen 1 pigeons are the first generation. |
Breed type | Pedigree quality within a bloodline. |
Bloodline | The pigeon’s inherited family line. |
Genotype | Genetic markers such as DRD4, LDHA, and CRY1. |
Gender | Male or Female |
Color | The pigeon’s visual color type |
Progression & Performance data
These fields show how your pigeon is developing over time and how a pigeon is performing in practice.

Level & XP | Pigeons gain XP by racing, and XP increases their level. |
Leveling | Higher levels reflect experience and can unlock stat improvements. |
Pigeon score | A quick overall indicator of the pigeon’s development and potential. |
Speed score | A separate speed-related metric used in races. |
Winnings | The amount the pigeon has won |
Favorite distance | The distance type where the pigeon performs best historically. |
Average speed | Average speed from completed races. |
Wins | Number of races won. |
Win ratio | Wins divided by total races entered. |
Good to know: Not every performance value should be read the same way. Some are quick summary indicators, while others are based on race history and become more meaningful as a pigeon completes more races. For example, average speed may show very little at first and becomes more useful over time.
Breeding and lifecycle data
Some pigeon data is especially relevant for breeding and long-term planning.

Core ability stats
Each pigeon has ten core ability stats. These shape how it performs during races.

Intelligence | Decision-making, route efficiency, and adaptation. |
Power | Explosive speed and acceleration, especially useful in sprint races. |
Strength | Ability to maintain speed when conditions get tougher, such as headwinds. |
Stamina | Energy reserves for longer races. |
Endurance | How long the pigeon can sustain strong output. |
Health | Overall condition. A healthier pigeon functions better. |
Fitness | Overall readiness and recovery during races. |
Orientation | Sense of position and ability to choose efficient paths. |
Navigation | Ability to follow routes, waypoints, terrain, and direction. |
Good to know: These abilities work together. They are not isolated values. For example, health and fitness are connected, and orientation works closely with navigation.
What about speed?
You may expect to see a single stat called speed, but on the Loft page speed is shown more indirectly through data such as Speed Score and Average Speed, alongside core abilities like Power, Strength, Stamina, Endurance, Health, and Fitness. Race performance is influenced by a mix of pigeon data, race conditions, and history rather than one single number.
