Where to check the weather

You can review the expected weather in two places before joining a race:

  • in the race overview list

  • on the race detail page

The race overview gives you a quick first impression. The race detail page gives you a more detailed weather breakdown.

What you can see in the race overview

In the race overview, you can quickly check key weather conditions before opening the full race page.

This helps you judge the race at a glance, especially when comparing multiple races.

What you can see on the race detail page

On the race detail page, users can see a more detailed weather breakdown, including:

  • Temperature

  • Rain in millimetres

  • Air pressure

  • Wind direction and wind speed

  • Humidity

These values help you understand how demanding the race may be before you enter.

How to use weather before joining

Weather should be read together with the rest of your pigeon’s profile.

A simple way to analyze the weather before joining is:

  1. check the weather values on the race page

  2. look at how demanding the conditions seem

  3. compare those conditions with your pigeon’s broader profile

  4. decide whether the race looks like a good fit

Useful things to compare with weather include:

  • Stamina

  • Endurance

  • Health

  • Fitness

  • Favorite distance

  • Race history

Why this matters

Not every pigeon reacts the same way to the same conditions. Each pigeon is unique, so the weather can suit one pigeon better than another.

That means analyzing the weather is not just about spotting bad conditions. It is about finding the right match between the race setup and your pigeon.
